Meet Tyrone Brunson
Tyrone Brunson is a respected speaker, investor, poet, and youth advocate whose greatest pride is his relationship with God. Raised in Manning, SC and now living in Asheville, NC, Tyrone’s passion for youth empowerment was born out of his battle with cancer at just 18 years old—a challenge he overcame the following year. Tyrone’s passion became even more fervent after surviving a 3-day coma at just 22 years old. Soon after the coma, he dedicated himself to mentoring, and co-directing a youth-focused nonprofit where he advanced from volunteer to Operations & Finance Director in only two years. His spoken word and music reflect his lived experiences, blending humor, creativity, and inspiration. Anchored by faith, family, and loyalty, Tyrone leads with joy and authenticity in every space he enters.

Tyrone’s mission is to inspire 3rd-12th grade students to practice self-awareness and live more organized lives—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Words That Live Beyond Me
In 2026, Tyrone will publish a book, and release a music/spoken word album that inspires youth and families to rise above challenges, while resonating across generations. These works will extend Tyrone’s voice far beyond the stage, offering timeless encouragement and empowerment.

Healing as Legacy
By 2028, TBI will fund at least 24 therapy or counseling sessions annually for select people from Tyrone’s circle and network. Healing and self-awareness are essential for growth. This initiative restores purpose, accountability, and fulfillment in communities that often lack access to these resources.

BTS Bucks: Honoring the Unseen
In 2030, TBI will honor 10 key people who shaped Tyrone’s journey by providing stipends partly invested in wealth-building tools and partly disbursed directly. This project celebrates the “behind the scenes” (BTS) role models/mentors whose wisdom, loyalty, and love supported Tyrone’s step into success.
