Meet Tyrone Brunson
TYRONE IS THE Edu-Tainer
Tyrone Brunson is a youth speaker helping students take ownership of their academic, social, and emotional growth—driving results in attendance, behavior, academics, and SEL. Through storytelling and interactive lessons, he builds self-awareness, resilience, and discipline in students facing adversity and disengagement. Placed in foster care at three days old and adopted at two, he overcame cancer at 18 and a life-threatening three-day coma at 21—shaping his message of purpose and perseverance. A summa cum laude graduate of SC State University, Tyrone serves as Operations & Finance Director of a youth nonprofit, turning lived experience into practical strategies students can apply in school and life.

Words That Live Beyond Me
By 2028, Tyrone will publish a book, and release a music/spoken word album that inspires youth, families , and educators to rise above challenges, while resonating across generations. These works will extend Tyrone’s voice far beyond the stage, offering timeless encouragement and empowerment.

Healing as Legacy
By 2030, TBI will fund therapy/counseling sessions annually for select people from Tyrone’s network. Healing and self-awareness are essential for growth. This initiative restores purpose, accountability, and fulfillment in communities that often lack access to these resources.

BTS Bucks: Honoring the Unseen
In 2030, TBI will honor key people who shaped Tyrone’s journey by providing stipends partly invested in wealth-building tools and partly disbursed directly. This project celebrates the “behind the scenes” (BTS) role models & mentors whose wisdom, loyalty, and love supported Tyrone’s step into success.
